When we read Deuteronomy 26 we see God instructed the Israelites what to do when they brought their tithes before the Lord. The first eleven verses the Lord instructed them to "name" everything God did for them.
They had to take "the first of all the produce of the ground" to the priest and when they did, they had to call out every good thing God did for them and the generations before them.
In the same way we should come before the Lord with our giving. It should be an act of worship. With praise and worship we come and thank God for everything He had done for us.
Join me now as I call out some blessings God poured out on me and you.
Thank you Father for loving me while I was still afar off in darkness, but You loved me and called me out of darkness into Your LIGHT.
Thank You Father that You have sent Your Son to die for me and that He rose from the dead and is alive today. Now I can live in and through Him
Thank You Jesus for Your Name. Your Name is a weapon in my mouth.
Thank You Jesus for Your Blood which cleansed me from all sin and made me the righteousness of God in Jesus.
Thank You Jesus for sending the Holy Spirit as my Comforter, my Teacher and my help in need.
Thank You Holy Spirit that You came and that You are always with me. Thank You for Your leading.
Thank You Holy Spirit for helping me to pray.
Thank You for my health.
Thank You for Your provision.
Thank You that we have more than enough.
Thank You Lord for receiving our giving as an expression of worship to You.
O, isn't it great to just thank God and love Him for all He had done for us? Isn't it good to bring a scarifies of praise with our finances?
Now that we have worshiped God and brought our giving with praise and thanksgiving we can boldly come and do what the Israelites did. We can ask the Lord to bless as even more.
Deuteronomy 26:15 - Look down from Your Holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers, "a land flowing with milk and honey."
Come let us give boldly! With an attitude of gratitude. Come give God the amount the Holy Spirit lead us to give and give Him hundred percent of our hearts.
Then we can rejoice in faith and say continually:
Psalm 35:27 - "Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause and let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."
