Get Out of the Boat
In 1997 before we went to Israel, after we went to town we came home and our garden was totally flooded up with water. We were ankle deep in water as the municipality worker cut the grass on the pavement and cut the tap of the water pipe off. Our front lawn was flooded.
When I got out of the car and step into the water, I joked and said, "Today we are going to walk on the water". That night I could not sleep, God spoke to me and said "okay you joked about this, are you willing to walk on the water". I was quick to say "yes" and God said "you must carefully think, because walking on the water is going to be a lonely walk. Remember Peter, he got out of the boat and the other 11 stayed in the boat. Nobody is going to cheer you on if you get out of the boat you are making a decision which family and friends will not understand and accept and you (we as a family) are going to be alone and you are going to have some challenges because Peter had some challenges, but if you do that and follow Me, I will never leave you and never forsake you and you will be blessed".
That night I knew we should get out of the boat and do what God called us to do and go to Israel. At that night I knew and a couple of days later I was alone at home, Willie was at work and the children at school. August 28th 1997 at 07:48 I clearly heard an audible voice. At first I though it was Willie, but he was not at home at the time. I heard in Afrikaans "Trek" which translated to "Move" in English and I knew that it was the last confirmation that God gave me to go to Israel, to leave South Africa and go to Israel.
